I like building small things that solve specific problems

I've noticed a pattern in the projects I enjoy working on.

They're usually small.

A simple local resource.

An assessment that helps someone understand a problem.

A calculator.

A directory.

A QR code that connects something physical to something useful online.

A website built around answering one very specific question.

None of these ideas is going to change the world.

That's part of what I like about them.

The internet has made it possible to build something useful for a relatively small group of people without needing millions of users.

If someone has a problem, and you can make that problem a little easier to solve, there's probably something worth building.

The internet doesn't always need another big idea.

Sometimes it needs a small idea that actually works.
